The program launches, and Permitting Innovators Call for Solutions opens. Potential entrants can browse the website for program information and begin preparing their submissions.
Informational webinar
May 14, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. ET
Luminary Labs, in partnership with the Council on Environmental Quality, will host a webinar to share more about the program, including the timeline, evaluation criteria, and Expo.
Submission deadline

Selected entrant notification
Late June 2026
Up to 50 solutions with the highest scores are notified of their selection and invited to participate in the Expo. Selected entrants receive preparation support and coaching ahead of the event.

CEQ hosts the inaugural Permitting Innovators Expo in Washington, D.C. Selected entrants demonstrate their solutions to federal agency staff and permitting community stakeholders. The day includes plenary sessions, a demo floor, breakout sessions and panel discussions, and structured networking.
Post-Expo engagement
Fall 2026
CEQ recognizes qualifying solutions in a Solutions Catalog to be shared with federal agencies and facilitates follow-on engagement to accelerate progress on the Permitting Technology Action Plan.
